Sarah Conde is General Counsel, Managing Director, and Chief Compliance Officer at Providence Equity Partners, where she leads the firm’s global legal and compliance team. She is based in Boston.
Sarah brings an extraordinary combination of leadership, legal acumen, strategic insight, creativity, and judgment to Providence—supporting a range of functions including legal counsel, compliance, firm operations, risk management, and fundraising. She is a member of the firm’s responsible investing committee, an observer on the Investment and Portfolio Review Committees, and serves as Providence’s director representative on the board of the American Investment Council.
Sarah has been involved in every flagship and continuation fund Providence has raised during her tenure and has played an active role in many of the firm’s investments and exits. She also leads regulatory engagement and Providence’s compliance program across the U.S. and Europe, and is a leader on the firm’s operations team. Sarah plays a vital role in fostering Providence’s collaborative and entrepreneurial culture by actively engaging with and supporting her team.
Prior to joining Providence in 2014, Sarah was in the private funds groups at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and Goodwin Procter LLP. Outside of Providence, she extends her leadership and problem-solving capabilities to nonprofit and educational initiatives, including as a trustee on the Board of Lincoln School in Providence, RI.
