Giovanni Romero joined Providence as an Operating Partner in January 2026 and has served as a consultant to certain Providence portfolio companies since 2023.
Prior to Providence, Mr. Romero served as European CEO of MMA Global, in which he led the implementation of best-practice frameworks for growth and optimization in marketing. Prior to MMA Global, Mr. Romero served as Global Chief Business Intelligence and Analytics Officer at Mindshare (now WPP media), where he built and led a global team of analysts, data scientists, consultants and engineers driving transformations across MarTech, CRM, e-commerce, digital analytics and go-to-market strategy for world-leading brands. Earlier in his career, Mr. Romero was a specialist consultant in the marketing practice at McKinsey & Company, where he advised clients on leveraging data and analytics to drive growth, maximize return on investment, increase brand valuation, execute due diligence and deploy winning go-to-market strategies. Mr. Romero brings hands-on expertise in data strategy, technology, cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud Platform), governance, operating model transformations and real-world applications of generative AI.
Mr. Romero completed a Master of Arts in Economics from York University, is a doctoral candidate in Economics from University of Toronto and holds specializations in Digital Transformation from the University of Virginia’ Darden Business School, and in Organizational Leadership from Northwestern University.
